YAY!! That time of the year is approaching and I start to get a little excited! Bob Marley Movement’s 19th Annual 9 Mile Music Festival. Great music, yummy food, and I end up spending waaay too much money with the craft vendors :/ What can I say? I am a sucker for handmade cool finds! I have the Fresh lip treatment in Rose and the original clear one has been on my list to buy for months but to be honest, with all the goodies in Sephora, I usually walk out with more interesting purchases. After my Bite beauty find (previous post), I decided to make my way over to the Fresh display, where I found the Fresh Sugar Lush set.
I have to admit, I am a sucker for a set, but this was a deal! For $28 you get a full sized Sugar Lip Treatment, a mini Sugar Lip Polish, and a 3.4oz. Brown Sugar Body Cream.
- Lip Treatment: Works exactly like my Rose version, but colorless, making it a go-to regardless of the lipstick I plan to wear later. It makes my lips soft and nourished without that Chapstick feel. I am sorry, but I have never been a fan of regular old drug store lip balm. I am convinced it is made with chemicals to make you addicted to it and just dries out your lips more.
- Lip Polish: I have wanted this for a while but could not justify the $22.50 for the full size. The mini on the other hand? SCORE! A little goes a long way and it is very gentle. Some scrubs feel like you are rubbing your lips off but after you wash this off, you don’t even need to apply a balm. Your lips feel silky smooth :)
- Body Cream: Ehh…makes my skin feel “oh so soft” but the smell…not much of a fan. It smells like a cross between brown sugar and lemon cleaning products so I shall be wearing this to bed.

I have been on a hunt for the perfect shade of red lipstick. After some research I decided to try out a fairly new brand on the market called Bite Beauty. Unfortunately, I could not find many reviews of their pencils online, so I decided to help those who would like to preview the colors before buying them. One of their high pigment matte pencils cost $24 but Sephora sells a trio for $38. The trio contains 3 full size pencils in colors Pomegranate (red), Honey Berry (nude), and Bouquet (Light Pink). The color payoff is great and since I was originally on the hunt for a red, I figured this box set was a deal. I like that they are not drying and the Pomegranate pencil has a slight sheen to it. Bite’s products “deliver super antioxidant resveratrol, which fights free radicals with potent long-term anti aging benefits. Each lip pencil contains the amount of resveratrol found in five glasses of red wine.”
